Quartz clocks are cheap, do not need to be wound, and the time runs accurately. There are really few quartz clocks in the house. However, the movement of quartz clocks is often updated. In the previous quartz clocks, the hands jumped and jumped in the middle of the night. The obvious ticking sound sometimes really disturbs dreams. Of course, there are many other reasons to replace the movement, so I won't list them one by one.
Tools/Materials
A quartz clock
I bought a quartz clock movement
A wrench
A screw knife

Use a screwdriver to unscrew the quartz clock to be replaced

2. Pull out the three hands of the quartz clock carefully by hand. The hands are very thin. Pay attention to balance and force.

3.Use a wrench to loosen the screw on the clock face and remove it together with a small washer below. Gently remove the old movement from the back, and the old movement is completely removed.

4.Then put the newly bought movement into the card, and put it on. There is no difference between the side on the top and the side on the bottom, then turn it over and install the gaskets and screws.

5.Then install the hour and minute hands in sequence, and they all point to 12 o'clock. After installation, pay attention to check that the two hands should be parallel and not touch each other.

6.We use the pointer adjustment knob on the back of the clock to pull the time back two times, from 12 o'clock to 10, make sure that the two hands are not touching each other normally, we can install the second hand, and then check it again. The second hand and the minute hand should be parallel and don't touch

After confirming that the hands are working normally, we can remove the battery, then install the clock face and the clock casing, screw back the screw that was removed, and then adjust the time to the exact hour, install the battery and everything is done.
